To be honest, I didn't expect I'd end up in a game as a non-player character. I was just sitting in my room, playing the latest online game, "My World", when suddenly the screen went black. Next thing I knew, I was standing in a medieval fantasy village, dressed in rags.

My character, named Li Ming, was a generic villager with no skills, no money, and no friends. The game had just started, and I was thrown into the deep end, so to speak. I had no idea what I was supposed to do, let alone how to survive.

As I was wandering around, trying to figure out my next move, I noticed a group of players approaching. They were dressed in fancy armor, looking serious and menacing. I knew they were going to cause trouble because they always did.

Before I could figure out a plan, one of them spotted me. "Hey, look at that NPC," he said, pointing at me with a smirk. "Let's teach him a lesson for his insolence."

I was about to protest when I heard a voice in my head. "Don't worry, I've got your back."
